Section 2: Introduction to the concept of Data Analysis

Nissan motors using the concept of big data and analytics technique and tools to be used in their data analytics. These tools will help them in earning market ROI, enhanced conversations and evaluate their brand to meet the demand of new customers in this new business era. Their marketing and sales manager, Asako Hoshino just announced that they are started using data analytics technologies as the heart of growth strategy. Nissan motors started using big data, marketing science and analytics techniques for better business decisions. These techniques are used among the process, starts from marketing to determining the price of vehicles and dealership at different locations. This will help them in evolving their business according to the new generation of customers. Recently, their California head quarter announced that they started using the HDP (Hortonworks Data Platform) for strength their business through data analytics tools. This HDP tool for data lake infrastructure is build upon Apache Hadoop technique to gather data from different business platforms including data driving and data quality. This enables Nissan Motors to use big data concept in their business for example, analysis of battery usage in their electric vehicles, management of quality and many other cross functional analyses of data. HDP is becoming one of the true and secure open-source data base management tools which enable them to use modern data architecture where they link their data lake architecture with data warehouse. With the help of this technology, Nissan motors integrate different types of data, collected from different sources which provide valuable information that help in making right decision for their business (ETCIO, 2017)

One fruitful use of this technology is to analyse and examine the trend at specific sell location which help them in making informed decisions based on the location of store, customers demand, relevant prices of vehicle and marketing tactics to attract new customers. As per the statement of Hoshino, “Nissan Motors is focusing on distribution and the kind of vehicle model selling in that region”. As per their strategy, if a shop will not be gaining enough sale, it will be moved to another area where better sale is expected (News, 2016). The data collected and generated by the used tools and techniques is further used in designing and production of new vehicles (brand vehicle) and updating the business strategy which allow Nissan motors to develop a new brand vehicle using new technology which is the interest of the current customers. This thing will not work without the use of data analytics tools which provide them intelligence to make it possible to develop a new brand vehicle using innovative ideas and meeting new customer’s demand. Many of their senior management, stated that it will not possible to achieve this success rate with boldness without the use od data science tools and techniques.
